/Who We Are/
About the Creative Coalition for Early Childhood Development (CCECD)
The Creative Coalition for Early Childhood Development (CCECD) is a flagship initiative of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC), developed in technical partnership with the World Bank Nigeria to harness the transformative power of Africa's creative and cultural ecosystem in advancing positive early childhood development outcomes. The Coalition emerged as a key outcome of the Convening focused on the role of the Creative Industries in Early Childhood Development, hosted by CBAAC in technical partnership with the World Bank Nigeria and in collaboration with Ogidi Studios on 28 February 2026 in Lagos. By bringing together creative professionals, cultural institutions, governments, researchers, development partners, academia, civil society, and the private sector, the CCECD fosters collaboration, research, policy engagement, and innovation to position culture, storytelling, media, and the arts as strategic drivers of nurturing care, early learning, positive social norms, cultural identity, and children's well-being across Nigeria and Africa.
